David Goldstein
Mr. Goldstein has over 25 years of experience in information technology specifically in networking, storage, risk
management, and sourcing. He also has significant experience in financial services, specifically in the securities
industry with a focus on brokerage, global custody and executive reporting and in the insurance industry with a
focus on health care and managed care.
Most recently, working as a consultant for HCSC, one of the largest health insurance companies, he developed
enterprise strategies for storage, data center and networking. He also managed a major storage sourcing process
and conducted an IT risk assessment for this company and provided remediation strategies.
Previously, working for Gartner, Inc. of Stamford, CT, he provided in-depth consulting expertise in
telecommunications, sourcing processes and risk management as used in securities, banking, insurance,
manufacturing and government. While there Mr. Goldstein led consulting projects in the following areas:
Before Gartner, he worked for NEIC, Inc. a health care EDI leader, in Secaucus, NJ, where he managed the
successful development of a nationwide e commerce health care service and acquired significant expertise in
managed care.
He co-founded Leveraged Technology, Inc., a management consulting firm focused on developing effective IT
strategies for major financial services clients in brokerage (front- and back-office operations, global custody) and
insurance (property and casualty)
Mr. Goldstein also worked for Merrill Lynch where he managed a unit responsible for supporting the holding
company treasurer and controller and developed a reporting system for top executive management.
Other business experience includes working as a senior systems engineer at IBM, specialized in mainframe and
networking technologies and working as an engineer at American Electric Power, specialized in generation
planning and power distribution
Mr. Goldstein possesses very good interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in Romanian, colloquial in French
and Italian, competent in Spanish, Portuguese and Russian; traveled extensively; and has global work
experienced in North America (USA and Canada), Europe, Australia and South America.
His education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Brooklyn Polytechnic and a
Master's degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University. He also completed industry-specific training
programs in the insurance and securities industries.
